Beginner Lesson – 8 (Rock Power Chords and Palm Muting)

Lesson 8 in our Beginner Series of lessons. This one focuses on power chords (used in almost every rock band like Green Day, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback, and everyone in between) and the ever important Palm Muting technique. A great guitar player once told me it’s not what you play but what you don’t play that makes you great. He was referencing muting various strings (unbelievably important in weissenborn playing and something I’ve yet to master) while playing as to get the perfect sound without anything extra. Check out the lesson and practice, practice, practice….cliché I know but it works!!! 🙂
